Southern Company tested thermal inspection of a heat-recovery steam generator and temperature-gauge readings at Plant Wansley. Images were integrated with cloud processing and asset management for condition records and maintenance planning.

Test conditions and scope

The pilot covered selected routes. The gauge-reading accuracy quoted in the report was a development target; fully automated coverage and recognition performance required further validation.
